I recently had the pleasure of shooting Salonography’s marketing campaign with Sophisticates Black Hair Magazine’s premier photographer Cornell McBride Jr who is always a great time, creative and professional but this time he outdid himself picking the shoot location.
The Goat Farm Arts Center located in the West Midtown Atlanta, was a shot in the arm or better yet, a great change of scenery. Once used as a cotton-gin, and God only knows what else…..is now being frequented by photographers, movie location scouts (Hunger Games) and local artist in search of trendy events like the upcoming ‘Attack of the Killer Tomato Fest’…the venue was definitely the star!
With a plethora of great backdrops that contrast wonderfully with beauty pictorials, from a tin file cabinet installation where each drawer burst with bouquets of floral delights to great exposed brick with vintage windows and iron embellishment. Adding to the eclectic ambience and aimlessly wondering about the grounds are hens or roosters and other feathered friends a plenty..ergo Farm!
I would definitely choose this venue for another Salonography photo shoot especially with my favorite #celebrityphotographer Cornell!
The Goat Farm Atlanta is located at:
1200 Foster St. NW
