Healthy, Hydrated hair is Good Hair!

The key to keeping you hair soft and supple, shiny and strong are simple.

Keep heat to a minimum, if you must use your high-tech, Ceramic/Tourmaline or Titanium plated flat-iron. It had better be…high-tech, Ceramic /Tourmaline or Titanium planted.

Keep your hair contained at night while you sleep. A silk bonnet, head scarf, Doo-Rag, hell even a top-knot would be better than nothing at all. Hair that is free to lounge on your pillow will succumb to the fibers of your pillow. The fibers can rob your hair of vital nutrients or worse, the friction of tossing and turning can actually pull your hair out…check your case and consider changing it to satin instead of cotton.

Keep your ends trimmed every six to eight weeks or as needed if your a heat miser! A good haircut is an excellent way to start the year and begin a deliberate maintanence schedule that includes regular conditioning treatments and trims along with your regular relaxer or hair color schedule.

Natural hair requires regular trims but on a twelve to sixteen week schedule instead of every six to eight weeks, provided your hair is not subjected to heat from the occasional silky press or twist set.

Color-treated hair requires a root touch-up and/or glossing treatment to refreshen hair color on the ends of your hair. Most glazes and glosses include conditioning treatments such as Argon, Coconut and Macadamia oils. These oils penetrate the hair shaft and add shine and softness to both natural, relaxed and color-treated hair.

High-end, professional products are a great luxury for your hair; but not imparative! Good treatments can be found in your kitchen, on the shelf at a local Marshall’s or at Whole Foods. Just know what your hair needs and which ingredients deliver hair that is shiny, silky, healthy and strong.

  1. I’ve been surfing on-line greater than 3 hours as of late, but
I never found any fascinating article like yours. It
is pretty value sufficient for me. In my view, if all web
owners and bloggers made just right content material as you probably
did, the internet will be a lot more helpful than ever before.
